Recognizing the shortage of parkland in Ward 4, championed the Town's acquisition of 28 acres for future park use — securing long-term green and recreational space for a growing community.
Supported a connection for pedestrians and cyclists that makes the community safer, more accessible and better linked together.
Helped move forward a new high-quality facility, expanding opportunities for residents and community sport organizations.
Led the effort to re-establish the Finance Advisory Committee and strengthen the Town's financial oversight — identifying efficiencies, improving the budget process, supporting long-term capital planning and reviewing key fiscal policies. This work has helped keep tax increases lower over the past two terms while rebuilding the Town's reserves to a healthy level and strengthening Aurora's long-term financial stability.
Brought together more than 100 municipalities to press for changes giving communities a stronger voice in planning decisions.
Sat down with neighbourhoods facing development in their area, listened to the concerns, and advocated for development that respects established communities.
Played a key role in advancing the addition of a new gymnasium to expand recreational opportunities and ensure our community facilities keep pace with the needs of residents.
Developed and co-presented the motion that advanced the revitalization of Aurora's downtown, including plans for the Cultural Precinct and Town Square.
Encouraged a plan that creates incentives for private investment, redevelopment and economic activity along Yonge Street.
Brought forward a long-term framework for quality sport programs, community partnerships, public engagement and sport investment across Aurora.
Central York Fire Station, Hallmark baseball diamonds, the Aurora Operations Centre, the Aurora Family Leisure Complex expansion and a multi-purpose artificial turf field.
Generated revenue for the Town while supporting future environmental initiatives.
